Walking Distance

The villa is walking distance (15 mins) from both Fayence and Tourrettes, two charming hilltop villages where you can while away the hours over a long lunch or dinner, or a glass of rosé.  Markets full of fresh produce are held several times a week.  Both villages have beautiful views across the valley.

Fayence is the bigger of the two, with over half a dozen restaurants/bars, a pharmacy, bakery, bank, post office, and small minimart.  Tourrettes is quieter but also has a small handful of bars and cafés, plus a permanent external art exhibition.

A short drive

A short drive away (10 minutes) are additional hilltop villages:  Montauroux, Callian and Seillans.   All are connected via the central valley which is full of handy shops, restaurants, supermarkets and other amenities.

Lac St Cassien is a 20 minute drive away – this is a popular spot for watersports in the summer - as well as the aerodrome where the more adventurous can go gliding to view the beautiful region from the skies.

Further afield

We are also very well situated for the ever-popular Côte d’Azur.  We would of course recommend day trips to Cannes, St Tropez, Antibes and Nice.   Equally famous, mostly because of their artist connections, are the hilltop towns behind the Riviera such as Mougins, Vence and Tourrettes Sur Loup.  Grasse, famous for its perfume, is 45 minutes away.  Towns such as Grimaud, Ramatuelle and Plan de la Tour are also worth a visit.

If you fancy somewhere a little less well known, Fréjus is a very pretty harbour town once populated by the Romans.  The old town is charming and contains an old Roman amphitheatre and aqueduct.  The neighbouring/connecting town of St Raphael is a classic French Riviera town.   If you have kids, Aqualand waterpark is nearby.

In reasonable traffic, Monaco is less than 1h30mins away.
